How I Used Some Law of Attraction Help in Getting an Internship!

by Rajeev Tamhankar
(Saharanpur, India)

I got the internship of my dreams using the law of attraction!

I got the internship of my dreams using the law of attraction!

Well, it sounds strange, but yes I did manifest my internship using law of attraction help!

As a 4th year student of a 5 year program in Polymer Science, I was told by all my seniors that it was not possible to pursue an internship after the 4th year as the institute rules didn't allow students to work outside the campus during summer.

But I wanted to pursue an internship abroad.

I talked with almost every relevant professor about my dilemma but no one seemed to be of any help. "It just can't happen", they said.

I had received an offer to work as an intern at the Max Planck Institute of Polymer Research in Mainz, Germany. I also stood a good chance of getting funded by the DAAD scholarship (that helps Indian students intern in Germany.) I had an internship offer I loved - but the problem was with the "approval" part. If only I could get my internship approved...

I finally went up to the Academic Council Chairman and pursued my case. After some persuasion, he agreed to hold a meeting regarding my internship request. The meeting was to take place on the day before the Dussehra holidays and so it was really important for me to get my approval that very day - because otherwise I would miss the last date for application to the DAAD scholarship!

I waited patiently for the result of the meeting outside the seminar hall, when I spotted the professor I knew coming out of the meeting room after two hours (or years?) of heated discussion. When I asked him about the decision, he said my request had been disapproved on the grounds that as a general rule no 5th year student of Polymer Science was allowed to work as an intern outside the institute during summer. Rather, it was important that the students stay back and work on their own institute projects in the campus itself. I tried to ask for reasons and tried to figure out ways to get a 'YES' but the answer remained a big 'NO'. I was devastated. I didn't have the approval. Time to apply for the scholarship was running out. And there was a week of holidays before me which meant I could do nothing to help my internship dreams.

Finally, after nothing seemed to work, I fell back upon the law of attraction. I had read about it and also got some small gains from it in the past. Could some law of attraction help get me an internship approval? At home in the holidays, I concentrated numerous times for 17 seconds. I visualized getting my internship approved by the authorities and saw myself interning in Germany...

Ah! I came back to college a few days before the holidays ended. While I was still searching out ways to get my approval, I happened to discuss my situation with one of my close friends, who referred me to one of the students undertaking a 5 year program in Computer Science - who had actually interned abroad! I was surprised and had a long chat with this guy from the Computer Science department that night. He told me in detail the procedure followed by his department in approving summer internships.

Armed with this new information, I went back to the Academic Council Chairman with the data about the Computer Science department and some written proofs. He had apparently overlooked this trend in the Computer Science department and had not perceived my case as being similar to that of students in that department! So the chairman of academic council agreed to support me!

The approval of the Dean, Academics was however still required and the Dean was out for the holidays. So there was still a roadblock...

But the universe did some magic again! I asked the chairman of the academic council to approve my internship on the precondition that it was 'subject to later approval' by the Dean and he agreed!

How did this happen? Everything was "no-no" before the holidays. And now after some intention setting - here I was - about to pursue the internship of my dreams! Of course it was the law of attraction help that introduced me to that Computer Science student. :)

So finally, YES, I did apply for the scholarship. And what then? The Dean came back to campus soon enough and I also got my confirmed approval the very next day!

Out of thin air and amidst all negative situations, I still got my offer approved. Neither the seniors, nor the faculty members were in support of my internship, but some law of attraction help made it happen...

Cheers to LOA! And thanks too. :)
